I’m Reina Laaman. I write books.

At age twelve, I decided I wanted to be a writer, and every life decision since then has centered around that choice.

In 2011, I began the first draft of Spectra, a young adult fantasy novel that would become my debut eleven years later. Now I help other writers not take eleven years to write their books.

I’ve also earned a bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing, studied acting at a studio in Los Angeles, and worked some very interesting, diverse jobs.

After migrating throughout the continental United States, I’ve settled (for now) in Southern California.
